Project description

The request

The request came at very short notice, just 10 days before the planned show date. The agency "brands and emotions" was commissioned by the NFL team "Carolina Panthers" to announce them as the home team for this year’s NFL game in Munich. The drone show was primarily intended to be recorded as content for social media. For this, it was important to have a landmark from Munich in the background: The Olympic Stadium!

The preparation

We overcame the challenge of the short lead time with dedication and professionalism. Despite this, the tight schedule shaped the preparations. Thanks to highly efficient communication, our designers were able to respond immediately to client requests and create a show tailored exactly to the Carolina Panthers' wishes. We maintained constant contact with the agency and their client, and as soon as the designs or animations were ready, we sent drafts to the client for review and adjustments.

From logo to drone choreography:

The realisation

The weather on the night of the show was not optimal for a drone performance. It was very cold and foggy. The cold affects the endurance of batteries. However, since we always account for safety margins in our shows, our drones managed to perform throughout the entire show. The fog also did not hinder the success. Thanks to the excellent brightness of our drones, the footage was still a highlight.

We were also able to compensate for the lack of an on-site meeting due to the tight preparation time with precise planning.

We flew over the Olympic Lake to ensure the videographer had the perfect view of the show with the Olympic Stadium in the background.

The Conclusion

The show was a complete success. In addition to the extensive reach of the show in the Munich night sky, it was also broadcast on television and showcased to the nearly 2 million followers of the Carolina Panthers on Instagram.

The Carolina Panthers, as the agency's client, were completely satisfied with the design and execution of the show.
