To conduct a drone show in Germany or the EU, a permit from the relevant aviation authority is required. In our case, this is the Federal Aviation Office (LBA), from which we, as a drone swarm operator, have received extensive approval for Germany and the EU due to our long-standing collaboration. For specific flight areas, such as in the control zone of airports, additional permits may be needed, for example, from the German Air Navigation Service (DFS). Further permits from other authorities may also be required, such as those related to proximity to a federal waterway, etc. We have extensive experience with complex permitting processes.

For the design process, a minimum of three weeks should be planned, as we work on several shows concurrently.

We recommend a lead time of at least one month to ensure a professional design process, including the implementation of your feedback. For more complex permits, we advise a lead time of at least three months. The best approach is to establish contact as early as possible, but of course, we are also open to challenges.

We conduct shows in Germany, the EU, and beyond (e.g., in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, as well as internationally). We strive to make everything possible and have already gained successful experience in other EU countries. Since aviation law is harmonised across Europe, we can easily perform drone shows in other member states with our existing extensive permit.

Ideally, we need the following information from you:

• Where is the show to take place?
• Where will the audience be located?
• When is the show scheduled?
• Do you already have permission from the owner of the area over which the drones will fly?
• What type of event is the show for?
• What is your budget?

You can think of each drone as a light point or pixel within a design. The number of drones that is appropriate for your event depends on the desired designs. For example, a single letter typically requires 10 to 20 drones. We are happy to assist you in deciding on the number of drones that would be suitable for your individual event.

Of course, we also sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and prepare visualisations to help you with client approval/validation.

We will go through the following steps together for a fantastic drone show:

After receiving an inquiry from you, we typically get back to you within 48 hours. Ideally, you will provide us with all the information you have about the event (when, where, what the occasion is, number of drones/budget, etc.). If you are unsure, we are more than happy to help answer the questions together.

Once we have clarified the questions, we will send you a proposal that you can accept online in a binding manner. After you have made the deposit, we will begin designing the show and applying for all necessary permits in accordance with aviation law. Depending on the package selected, we will involve you in the process, and you will receive regular updates on the individual show elements. If you book a preset show, we will discuss your desired designs with you at the start.

We conduct a dress rehearsal for each show at our test site. For larger shows, you are welcome to attend.

On the day of the show, we require about 3 hours for setup. After the successful show, you will transfer the remaining balance within two weeks.

In general, we strive to minimise any hassle for you in this process. We are your service provider and come with solutions, not problems.

As the preparations for a drone show are quite extensive and involve costs (for example, programming and permits), we need to be able to invoice at least a portion of the total amount.

The planning and design of a drone show involve significant effort and cost. Another cost factor in the preparation is obtaining approval from the aviation authority; therefore, we can only begin planning and designing once we have received the deposit.

A drone show is safe:

The drones weigh only about 300 grams. A calculated safety zone beneath the flight area and the surrounding region prevents the drones from harming people, animals, or objects in the unlikely event of a crash.

With a variety of redundant electronic safety systems—both automatic and manual—our pilots protect the safety zone on the ground and other aircraft in the sky.

Since our drones do not explode like fireworks, there is no risk of fire, no noise disturbances, and no risk of injury.

Our drones typically fly no higher than 120 metres, thus remaining outside of busy airspace.

• The drones are reusable and leave no waste behind. Our drones are manufactured in the EU, and we generally avoid unnecessary journeys.

  The drones hum quietly during the show and do not reach harmful volume levels for people and animals, unlike the explosions of fireworks. Additionally, there is no CO2 emissions, as seen with fireworks.

  We already offset our CO2 emissions and are also working on ways to further reduce our carbon footprint. We avoid unnecessary journeys, and our drones are made in the EU.

  We only fly at dusk or in darkness, and our drones operate at a maximum speed that allows nocturnal flying animals to detect them in time, thereby avoiding collisions.
